This smoothie is absolutely delicious – especially for anyone who loves something sweet. I love to make this for breakfast when I have a little bit of extra time in the mornings. Typically, when I am in a hurry, I prepare my smoothie ingredients in a freezer bag the night before. That way I just throw it in the blender with some water or non-dairy milk, blend and go. But because I like adding fresh avocado and coconut meat, I give myself a few extra minutes to make this recipe.
In a hurry? Try swapping coconut and avocado for a frozen banana. It will thicken the consistency and add great flavour.
I N G R E D I E N T S:
1 cup of coconut water
½ cup of coconut meat
1/3 or half an avocado (I always use half)
1-2 tbsp of raw cocoa powder
1 scoop of chocolate protein powder
1 cup of ice
T O P P I N G S:
Unsweetend coconut flakes
Nuts, seeds, flax
D I R E C T I O N S:
1. In a blender, combine all the ingredients and blend until a smooth consistency.
2. Poor liquid into a cup and top with toppings of your choice.
